This role ensures accurate and timely financial processes, supports financial reporting, and maintains compliance.Job PurposeReporting to the CEO, the Senior Accountant executes core accounting functions and maintains the integrity of financial data. This role manages payables and receivables, monitors cash flow, processes payroll, and supports financial reporting to ensure smooth and accurate day-to-day financial operations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliationsOversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and customer collectionsMonitor daily cash balances and track inflows and outflowsMaintain accurate financial records and proper documentation of all transactionsSupport the month-end and year-end close processesPrepare and assist with financial reports, including balance sheet and income statementProcess payroll and support commission calculations for employees and contractorsPartner with HR to ensure payroll data accuracy and proper tax filingsEnsure compliance with GAAP, payroll regulations, and tax requirementsIdentify and support improvements to accounting processes and internal controlsCoordinate with external partners, including accountants, auditors, and payroll providersRequired Skills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reportingExperience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash managementProficiency in QuickBooks and payroll systems (ADP preferred)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication skillsQualifications (Education and Experience):5 to 7 years of experience in accounting or financeBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field requiredPreferred Qualifications:Experience managing day-to-day accounting operations (AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll)Experience in a small to mid-sized business environmentExposure to cash flow management and financial reportingCPA or CMA preferred, but not requiredBenefits100% employer-paid health insurance for employees (dependent coverage available)Dental, vision, short-term disability, and long-term disabilityEmployer-paid basic life insurance ($25,000)401(k) retirement plan8 company-paid holidays2 weeks PTOEmployee referral programEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Company CultureDealer Trade Network fosters a high-performance, team-oriented environment guided by core values including integrity, customer service, teamwork, adaptability, and accountability.
