They are currently expanding their team and looking to add a Grant Accountant. Their team is passionate about financial stewardship and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. They foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where employees are empowered to grow and contribute.Salary/Hourly Rate:$30/hr - $45/hrPosition Overview:The Grant Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants and contracts, including budgeting, reporting, compliance, and reconciliation. This role ensures that all grant-related financial activities align with organizational policies and funding agency requirements. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with restricted funds.Responsibilities of the Grant Accountant:Monitor and track grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding guidelines.Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors and internal stakeholders.Assist with grant budget development and modifications.Reconcile grant accounts and ensure accurate allocation of expenses.Maintain documentation for audits and reporting requirements.Collaborate with program managers to review spending and forecast needs.Ensure timely invoicing and drawdowns from funding sources.Stay current on federal, state, and private grant regulations.Support year-end close and external audits related to grants.Recommend improvements to grant accounting processes and systems.Required Experience/Skills for the Grant Accountant:3+ years of experience in grant accounting or nonprofit financial management.Knowledge of federal grant regulations (e.g., Uniform Guidance/OMB Circulars).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Blackbaud, Oracle, Workday).Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Experience working with restricted funds and fund accounting.Education Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.* CPA or CGFM certification is a plus.Benefits:* Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility (including healthcare plans, discount programs, and paid time off).
