Machine operation includes the coordination and the Mailer, Dot Wac, use of the Polybag, Drills, Shanklin, Shrink Wrap Machine and Folders, Spiral Binding in the Bindery Department which are used to complete Bindery Operations and fulfill customer orders to quality specifications.Essentials Duties:Demonstrate knowledge and the ability to understand bindery related specificationsDemonstrate the ability to perform make readies (m/r) on all equipment listed as small machinesDemonstrate compliance with all safety proceduresDemonstrate consistency in the observation of all safety procedures, bending and lifting techniquesShow leadership skills as well as interpersonal skillsPossess the knowledge and ability to read and understand the job tickets, workers, order and all other documentation that pertains to each jobInteract with supervisors to facilitate daily schedulesUnderstands and carry out customer’s quality requirementsAble to meet or exceed expected goals on make readies, speeds, waste and efficiencies, etc…The ability to operate all tools pertaining to equipment, wrenches, gauges and tape measures, etc…Operate a power industrial hand truck.Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or to determine whether adjustments are neededPerform routine maintenance on equipment and determining when what maintenance is neededOther duties as assigned by managementBasic Qualifications:Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations.Must be able to troubleshoot when machine malfunctionMust work well with others.Must be flexible and open to change when needed.Must have the ability to follow instructions.Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.Must be able to lift up to 50 poundMust be willing to work overtime as neededThe ability 12 hour shiftsPerferred Qualifications:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 2-year bindery experienceBasic small packaging knowledgePhysical RequirementsProlonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment Continuously bending, twisting, kneeling and squattingMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
