At Bolivar, you will deliver vital care in a community setting with the backing of a highly regarded hospital system committed to quality, safety, and local impact.Job SummaryUnder the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Long Term Care provides personal care and support to residents, ensuring their psychosocial and physical needs are met in alignment with geriatric care standards. The CNA-LTC plays an essential role in maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment while delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.Essential FunctionsAssists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, toileting, mobility, and nutritionPerforms basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, weight, intake/output, and blood glucose monitoringProvides physical assistance with repositioning, ambulation, and use of assistive devicesSupports residents during admissions, discharges, and transports to other areas for proceduresObserves and reports changes in residents' condition, behavior, and pain levelsResponds to call lights promptly and ensures resident comfort and safetyAssists with feeding and hydration, and monitors dietary needs as directedMaintains resident rooms and unit cleanliness, restocks supplies, and manages minor housekeeping tasksFollows infection prevention protocols, universal precautions, and proper use of PPEAccurately documents care, observations, and activities in the medical record in a timely mannerParticipates in resident care planning, in-service training, and continuous improvement effortsUpholds regulatory standards and ethical conduct in all job functionsKnowledge/Skills/Abilities/ExpectationsDemonstrates empathy, professionalism, and strong communication skillsAbility to work effectively under supervision and in high-stress environmentsSkilled in time management, prioritization, and multitaskingFamiliarity with EMR systems and basic computer proficiencyCommitted to safety, confidentiality, and quality resident careFlexible and dependable, with willingness to work varied shifts as neededAble to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds and assist with resident transfersQualificationsEducation* High school diploma or GED preferredLicenses/CertificationsCurrent CNA certification for Long Term Care in the state of MississippiBasic Life Support (BLS) certification - required within 90 days of hireBlood Glucose Monitoring Certification - required within 90 days of hireExperience* Prior experience in long-term care or a healthcare setting preferred, but not required
