Sr Manager Component Engineering

We are looking for a Component Engineering Manager to lead component strategy, lifecycle management, and compliance across product lines. This role will partner closely with engineering, sourcing, quality, and suppliers to ensure component reliability, availability, and regulatory compliance in a high-tech manufacturing environmentYou Will Make an Impact By:Technical ResponsibilitiesLead component selection, qualification, and approval processes for new and existing productsEnsure compliance with RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, and other global regulationsManage component lifecycle, including obsolescence, alternates, and risk mitigationDrive failure analysis and root cause investigation for component-related issuesCollaborate with design, sourcing, and quality teams during product developmentMaintain component databases, BOM validation, and technical documentationManagerial ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and develop a team of global component engineersAllocate work, set priorities, and track team performance and deliverablesDefine and implement best practices, SOPs, and engineering processesCollaborate with stakeholders (R&D, procurement, suppliers, quality)Support strategic decision-making for sourcing and supplier selectionDrive continuous improvement initiatives within the teamSkills You Bring:Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field8+ years of experience in component engineering or related domainPrior experience managing or leading a teamStrong knowledge of electronic/mechanical components and systemsFamiliarity with PLM tools, ERP systems, and component databasesExpertise in component reliability, compliance, and lifecycle managementExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred SkillsExperience in high-reliability industries (automotive, aerospace, telecom, medical devices)Knowledge of global compliance regulationsExposure to supplier audits and qualification processesExperience with obsolescence tools (e.g., SiliconExpert, IHS, etc.)Key CompetenciesLeadership & team managementStrategic thinkingCross-functional collaborationRisk managementAttention to detailGlobally, our policy is to recruit individuals from wide and diverse backgrounds.
