This role partners closely with data engineers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate, reliable, and well-structured data for dashboards, reports, and analytical products.The ideal candidate brings strong SQL expertise, experience with cloud data platforms, and the ability to troubleshoot data quality and pipeline issues in a fast-paced, enterprise environment.Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis & ReportingAnalyze large, complex datasets to support enterprise reporting and analytics productsSupport and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI toolsTranslate business questions into efficient, analytics-ready datasetsEnsure datasets are optimized for visualization performance and usabilitySQL & Data DevelopmentWrite, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, including:Complex joinsCTEsWindow functionsPerformance optimizationDevelop reusable, well-documented SQL assets Cloud Data PlatformsWork with cloud-based data platforms such as:DatabricksAzure SynapseSnowflakeBigQuery (or similar)Understand and support data ingestion flows from source systems to cloud storage and analytics layers Data Modeling & TransformationStructure data for analytics using:Fact and dimension modelsWide vs. narrow table designsPrepare datasets optimized for dashboards and enterprise reporting Data Quality & ValidationIdentify data discrepancies between source systems and cloud datasetsTroubleshoot data quality, ingestion, and pipeline issuesFacilitate root-cause analysis and coordinate issue resolution across teams Required Qualifications3-5 years of professional experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related roleProven experience working with large datasets in cloud environmentsAdvanced SQL proficiency (required)Experience supporting enterprise dashboards and analytics productsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating with data engineers and SMEsStrong written and verbal communication skills Preferred QualificationsExperience with Power BIExperience within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, including:Azure Data FactoryAzure SQLAzure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)Experience with PySpark or Python for data analysis and transformationsFamiliarity with ETL / ELT pipelines and orchestration conceptsExperience using version control systems (Git or similar)Basic understanding of data governance, lineage, or metadata management Domain & Business Experience (Preferred)Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, or regulated industriesFamiliarity with operational, asset, or time-series dataExperience working with imperfect or operational source systems
