Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead and supervise excavation and earthworks projects. The successful candidate will manage crews and equipment, ensure safe and efficient operations, and deliver projects on schedule while maintaining high quality and safety standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise daily excavation, trenching, grading, and earthworks operationsCoordinate operators, laborers, truck drivers, and subcontractorsPlan and execute work involving utilities, drainage, foundations, and site preparationEnsure safe operation of heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, rollers, and skid steersRead and interpret site plans, utility drawings, and gradesEnsure compliance with safety regulations, including trench safety and shoring systemsConduct daily toolbox talks and site safety inspectionsSchedule work activities and manage productivityOrder materials and coordinate deliveriesLiaise with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and clientsIdentify and resolve site challenges related to ground conditions, utilities, and accessRequirementsProven experience as a Site Foreman or Supervisor in excavation or civil constructionExtensive hands-on experience operating and supervising heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders, graders, rollers, compactors, skid steers)Strong knowledge of earthworks, trenching, shoring, and underground servicesAbility to read and set out grades, levels, and elevationsStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsThorough understanding of excavation safety regulations and best practicesValid driver’s licenseRelevant trade qualification or civil construction certification (preferred)Knowing and understanding the requirements of the OHSAKnowing, understanding, communicating and ensuring compliance with the OHSA, and company safety policies and proceduresFacilitate mandatory safety tool box meetingsEnsuring completion of initial safety and hazard assessmentsParticipating in safety/incident investigationsEnsuring that vehicle and equipment checks are carried outBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experienceSteady, long-term employmentWell-maintained equipment and professional crewsDiverse excavation and civil projectsOpportunities for advancement within the companyOvertime opportunity
