Mfg Maintenance Technician II

Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for an Mfg Maintenance Technician II with our medical device client in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a 5-month contract with a potential for extension.Pay: $30.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.Schedule: 3rd Shift role, will be train during the 1st shift 2-3 weeks.1 st shift 6:30am – 2:30pm3 rd shift 10-30pm – 6:30amDescription:Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.Qualifications:Able to work independently on 3rd shiftHigh School Diploma and equivalent hands-on experience is required.2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing/production equipment in a high-volume or regulated environmentStrong skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or automated systems, including use of standard diagnostic toolsAbility to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manualsExperience with PLCs and maintaining accurate maintenance logs (CMMS preferred)Preferred Qualifications:College degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology is preferredFormer Medical Device industry experiencePrimary Talent Partners is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
