Configuration Management Change Specialist
JOB OVERVIEW
The Change Implementer/Specialist will be responsible for the implementation phase of the change process at the NDS Mesa facility. The Change Implementer/Specialist position will take direction from the Configuration Manager and will plan and conduct weekly Change Review Board (CRB) and Change Implementation Board (CIB) meetings with program team members. A qualified candidate must take ownership of and efficiently facilitate the change implementation process at the NDS Mesa facility.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the aerospace/defense industry in terms of configuration management, CM2 knowledge, change implementation, and impact analysis. The Change Implementer/Specialist will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities of document changes, reviewing engineering Change Notice (CN) documentation, and conducting impact analysis on proposed changes per standards set by the Configuration Manager. This will include creating documentation of detailed processes, assigning CN numbers for each change, performing impact analysis in terms of cost & schedule, categorizes each change in conjunction with the configuration board defining each CN's priority, and verifying each change has been incorporated/completed per the change implementation plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the implementation phase of the closed loop change process
Assigns change notification numbers and maintains applicable logs
Performs impact analysis and determines cost and schedule impact
Categorizes each change as "fast-track" or "full track" per configuration control board agreement.
Prioritizes the implementation review and assures that the response is timely.
Assigns responsibility for implementation planning and forwards change notices accordingly.
Verifies changes have been incorporated and all subsequent activities have been completed per the implementation plan.
Compiles recurring and nonrecurring cost estimates for changes.
Schedules the change implementation board meetings and prepares the agenda.
Chairs the change implementation board meeting and distributes the results.
Measures and reports change request activity.
Manages the change process to minimize cycle times.
Other duties as assigned.
COOPERATION
This role requires collaboration across internal teams and with external stakeholders. The Change Implementer/Specialist will serve as the primary point of contact for the program team members managing document changes while adhering to change implementation process.
LEVEL OF DECISION MAKING
This position requires daily autonomous decision-making capabilities when working with both internal and external customers.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
Must have at least six years of experience in business-oriented environments.
Must hold a four-year degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience. with Configuration Management.
Ability to obtain BATF approval to engage in certain explosive operations
Preferred
Aerospace/defense industry experience in terms of configuration management
CM2 Certification, preferred.
