Must be licensed in the state of Florida.Purpose of Your Job PositionThe primary purpose of your job position is to coordinate nutritional care of residents by completing nutritional assessments, developing and implementing care plans, and documenting dietary information about residents, in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and Solaris HealthCare's established policies and procedures.Job FunctionsGeneral ResponsibilitiesResidents RightsFood SafetySafetyStaff DevelopmentNutritional Assessment ResponsibilitiesCompletes nutritional assessment, MDS, CAA's and care plansCompletes progress notesAssesses and completes required documentation on residents nutritionally at risk according to time frames for assessmentsVisits residents routinely to determine effectiveness of interventions and to update food preferences and evaluate food intakePromotes and assists in implementation of liberalized dietsFollows house supplement procedure recommending enhanced foods before supplements. Evaluates the effectiveness of supplements on a routine basisReviews weight records routinely and communicates variances to interdisciplinary teamMakes enteral feeding recommendations that are consistent with proceduresEvaluates and monitors TPNEnsures timely follow-up on physician recommendationsCommunicates resident nutrition and hydration relevant changes in condition during the 24-hour Clinical ** Report/Stand-Up MeetingUses current standards of dietetic practice in the implementation of nutritional careServes as Dining Room Coordinator, Dining Room Monitor as requiredOversees and ensures accuracy of nutritional reviews done by the Dietetic Technician and the Food Service DirectorSystems ResponsibilitiesCommunication ResponsibilitiesMeal Service/Menus ResponsibilitiesAdministrative ResponsibilitiesSpecial Activities/AttributesEducationRegistration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed by the state where he/she practices, if appropriate.Experience
