Full job description Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role is essential for ensuring that our projects are accurately priced and that we maintain profitability while delivering high-quality work. The Construction Estimator will collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to develop comprehensive estimates for various construction projects. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents. Collaborate with project managers to understand project requirements and scope of work. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather information necessary for accurate estimates. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide support in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects. Skills Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex blueprints and specifications. Excellent negotiation skills to effectively communicate with contractors and suppliers. Knowledge of cost control techniques and project management methodologies. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accuracy in estimates and documentation.
