Sr Software Engineer (Python, C++)

This role focuses on building scalable solutions in Linux environments, with an emphasis on Python and C++ development, real-time processing, and advanced algorithm implementation.The ideal candidate has extensive experience working across the full software development lifecycle and is comfortable leading technical efforts while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain complex software systems based on defined requirementsAnalyze user and system requirements to derive software design and performance specificationsDevelop new software features and enhance existing applications to improve functionality and performanceDebug and resolve software defects and performance issuesImplement and optimize algorithms to meet system performance and timing requirementsIntegrate software components into new or existing systems and environmentsDevelop and execute test procedures and validate software performanceDesign and implement database queries and data processing logicProduce and review technical documentation for software and system componentsCollaborate with system and hardware engineers to define requirements, constraints, and interfacesEvaluate software design trade-offs, including reuse of existing solutions (COTS/GOTS)Monitor system performance and ensure operational requirements are metProvide recommendations to improve development processes, documentation, and system performanceLead or support software development teams and ensure delivery aligns with project requirementsRequired QualificationsMust be fully cleared with a recent MD polygraphMust be willing and able to work fully onsite at the location listed in this postingBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)14+ years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexityStrong experience developing software in Linux environmentsStrong programming experience in Python and C++Experience developing and maintaining complex software systems, including real-time or data-intensive applicationsExperience implementing algorithms and working with large data setsExperience with software testing, debugging, and performance optimizationExperience working with software development methodologies and best practicesDesired QualificationsExperience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) or Radio Frequency (RF) systemsExperience working in distributed or high-performance computing environmentsExperience leading technical teams or mentoring junior engineers#CJFantom Corp is a Software Development, Agile Cloud, Cyber Security (Risk Management, Assessments & Authorization (A&A)), Data, AI Platform (Computer Vision Models), Podcasting Media Services, and IT Services provider.
