Job Title: Metro Micro LaborerOverview: Suit-Kote Corporation, a leading Asphalt products manufacturer, road construction and maintenance and asphalt application engineering company is seeking candidates for Metro Micro Road Crew Laborer.Safety Expectations: All Suit-Kote employees are required to comply with all safety rules and to observe safe work practices and operating procedures at all times. Whenever on Suit-Kote property or job sites, or operating Suit- Kote equipment, employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the safety of the employee, co-workers and others.Responsibilities/Job DutiesHave the ability and willingness to dig, spread and level construction materials with a shovelAbility to move quickly and spread materials using a squeegeeWork with others to help complete tasks in a timely manner Varying types of work including: digging, flagging and maintenance of equipmentBasic troubleshootingRequired Skills/AbilitiesReliable transportation to and from workStrong work ethicPhysical Organization and time management Flexibility in hours - overtime and weekend hours may be necessaryAbility to work out of townWorking knowledge of general hand tools and power toolsCDL License a plusPassing a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening is required and a background check will be conductedConsent to a DMV license evaluationMust have or be willing to obtain an OSHA 10 Hour Safety CertificatePhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift up to 100 poundsObserve and comply with necessary PPE requirementsMust be able to work in a noisy area with many odors presentBending, stretching, stooping, kneeling, crawling and squattingOther Preferred QualitiesAbility to read and understand SDS Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) High school diploma or GED Basic math skillsPosition is considered full time, but seasonal in nature, with anticipated lay-off in the November thru March time-frame.
