The Principal will also play an integral role in developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing investment partners, as well as assisting in business development initiatives in the region. The investment professional also is expected to lead other special projects, including research initiatives, as necessary, with support from junior investment professionals.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The investment professional will lead due diligence efforts on primary fund, direct co-investments, minority positions, and secondary transactions in infrastructure.The candidate will also be expected to direct the work of Analysts and Associates in the due diligence process, while playing an integral role in the training and development of junior members of the team.The candidate will assist the other senior members of the investment team with resource allocation, while leading communication with investment sponsors, clients and prospects in North America.The candidate needs to be comfortable working autonomously and will be expected to lead General Partner meetings, asset tours and site visits in North America, with very limited senior staff oversight.Full knowledge of analytics and qualitative factors crucial to infrastructure investing are imperativeThe candidate must be comfortable modeling complex transactions, distribution waterfalls, and be familiar with negotiations of partnership and transaction documents.The candidate will be expected to complete special projects, including client projects, industry analysis, and geographical studies, as necessary, with support from other junior investment professionals.NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS; Education and/or Experience:10+ years' relevant investment experience, including transaction experience with infrastructure secondary purchases, and/or direct investingExperience from primary fund investing only will be considered, but preference for those candidates with demonstrated secondary or direct transaction skillsStrong modeling and quantitative analytical skillsStrong communication and poised presentation skillsBachelor's degree as a minimumExceptional verbal and written communication skills and measurable success as a strategic thinker are essential to the success of this positionStrong initiative and independent performance are imperativeAbility to present and defend opinions and investment ideasAbility to be self-directed and actively seek out information and resources to complete assignments effectively and efficientlyWe offer a competitive salary, annual discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package which includes: Medical, Prescription, Dental, Paid Time Off, 401k plan, Life and Disability Insurances, Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Program, Health Club Reimbursement and Flexible Spending Accounts.Hamilton Lane is an affirmative action-equal opportunity employer.
