If you’re looking to make an impact and be part of a team that wins together, this is it.What You’ll Do:This position is responsible for the setup and operation of 5-Axis CNC Mills in compliance with inch and metric drawing specifications.Set up and operate 5-Axis CNC machines to machine flat, contoured, and formed partsMachine to tight tolerances (as tight as ±.005”)Act as a technical resource regarding tooling and machining capabilitiesEvaluate and justify new tooling and machining processesLoad programs, set tools, fixtures, and establish tool offsetsMentor and train Machinist I, II, and III team membersTake the lead on large projects from start to completionInteract with engineers on part design and manufacturabilityCommunicate issues related to work orders, programming errors, and material discrepanciesMaintain focus on reducing material waste, labor inefficiencies, and scrapPerform minor preventative maintenance as requiredDocument redlines and advise on corrective actionsPerform R&D machining work as directedAccurately record labor time for job trackingMaintain a clean and organized work areaPromote and demonstrate safety in accordance with company policyWhat’s in it for You:Competitive compensation at $35+/hr DOELong-term, stable opportunity with a growing companyCross-training and professional developmentExposure to complex, high-precision componentsTeam-oriented culture with strong leadership supportWhat You Need to Have:High School diploma or equivalent (AA in Machine Technology preferred)Strong math skills including trigonometryDemonstrated ability to perform lead-person responsibilities professionally and effectivelyExperience machining various plastics (WPP, NPP, FRPP, Polycarbonate, PVC, Acrylic, UHMW, Delrin, PTFE, PFA, PVDF) and other materials including metalsAbility to machine to ±.005 toleranceExperience using rotary tables, divider heads, and mill visesDemonstrated tooling design capabilitiesStrong troubleshooting skills in machining and setupAbility to read and interpret engineered drawings (metric, decimal, and fractional inch) and Bills of MaterialsExperience setting up manual machines using appropriate tooling and fixturesAbility to operate manual mills and lathesExperience setting up CNC machines including loading programs, tooling, fixtures, and offsetsAbility to read and understand machine codesSkilled in using precision measuring devices in thousandths (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.)Ability to identify cutting tools and materialsAbility to deburr parts to specificationCross-trained in at least one additional machining disciplineAbility to lift up to 35 lbs and maintain full-time attendancePreferred:2-3+ years of 5-Axis machining experienceCNC programming experienceExperience in high-tolerance, low-volume manufacturing environmentsNext Steps:Please respond with an updated resume!Call Kacie at 971-246-8429 or Ricky at 971-246-8432 to schedule an interview!
