Our Foster Parent Recruiter ensures a pool of available local foster parents ready to care for children when the call comes.Essential Responsibilities:Create awareness of the need for local foster parents via paid and unpaid advertising, and by representing KidsPeace in community-based activities and events to create visibility about foster care.Recruit, interview, and evaluate foster parent candidates according to state and KidsPeace requirements.Participate in training efforts to teach those parents the skills and knowledge about the foster care system and the children we serveSupport foster parent recognition, retention and satisfaction through various office and community eventsFundraise and create awareness of the ongoing need of resources and supports for local foster youthQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related human services degree required;Prior experience in foster care, adoption, or other family serving systems preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic Computer skillsValid Driver's license and registered vehicle-able to work independently in the fieldMust be at least 21 years of ageAbout KidsPeace:KidsPeace is a private charity committed to supporting the behavioral and mental health needs of children, families, and communities.
