This role is primarily office-based at a local Perficient location, with travel and on-site client engagements expected as needed.Job OverviewThe Solutions Architect is expected to be knowledgeable in two or more technologies within the Data & Analytics domain. The Solutions Architect may or may not have a programming background, but will have expert infrastructure architecture, client presales / presentation, team management and thought leadership skills. You will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for business problems, perform platform integration with third party services, and design and develop complex features for clients' business needs.You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs. You will also contribute in a variety of roles in thought leadership, mentorship, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation. You will challenge your leading edge solutions, consultative and business skills through the diversity of work in multiple industry domains.ResponsibilitiesLead Pursuit teams with clients as a Data SME – RFP responses, Proactive proposals etc.Work with multiple business units within PerficientLead complex client engagement delivery, often with ambiguity and little directionPlan and lead workshops with client teams to understand current landscape, requirements, constraints and map to the latest technology products and platforms to come up with future architectureCreate phased implementation roadmaps from scope and resources perspectivesArticulate complex architectures to a variety of client teams, both technical and non-technical and build consensus among varyingLearn new technologies and platforms quickly and keep experience relevant to clients' needsLead teams based off global locations in multiple time zonesRepresent Perficient as an authority on enterprise architecture topics at industry forums, conferences etc.Take ownership of solutions and teamsQualificationsMinimum of 10 years of relevant professional experienceStrong experience in latest data trends and associated technologies including, but not limited to, Data Quality, Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Master Data ManagementFamiliarity with Data Governance Concepts – Policies, Procedures, Operating Models, Runbooks etc.Expertise in building solutions from scratch as well as modernizing legacy architecturesStrong experience with data modeling in various industriesExpertise in at least two hyperscaler technologies – AWS, Azure, GCPFamiliarity in cloud-based data warehouse and/or lakehouse technology platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks etc.Ability to communicate complex solutions to technical and non-technical users at various levels – typically department directors to C-SuiteExperience with both on-premises and cloud technologies and platformsExpertise architecting solutions with multiple disciplines – performance, scalability, securityCrisp and clear communication – both verbal and writtenAbility to create strong presentations using various toolsKnowledge of up-and-coming AI tools and technologies and industry trendsDemonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-informed task executionFamiliarity with AI-enhanced platforms is a plusA solid understanding of AI capabilities and limitations including ethical considerations is expectedTravel up to 25%, sometimes more depending on program needs and often with short noticeEast coast/Midwest Locations near Perficient's offices / metro areas are preferred: Boston/Somerville MA, New York City NY, Charlotte NC, Atlanta GA, Detroit MI, Chicago IL, Houston TX, Dallas/Plano TX, Austin TX, St. Louis MO, Kansas City MO, Denver CO, Minneapolis MN, Fargo ND, Washington DC, Philadelphia PA, Miami FL, Cincinnati OH, Columbus OHAbout the TeamOur Data & Analytics team drives cutting-edge innovation in digital transformation deployment globally and across industries.
