Trident Consulting is seeking a " Scientist Downstream Process Development" for one of our clients in "Carlsbad, CA " A global leader in business and technology servicesRole: Scientist Downstream Process DevelopmentLocation: Carlsbad, CA 100% OnsiteWork: 80–90% Lab | 10–20% DeskDuration: 6 Months Contract, Extension / Temp-to-Perm PossiblePay: $50–$70/hr W2, based on experienceSchedule: Standard hours; OT and occasional weekends as neededPosition OverviewSeeking a Process Development Scientist with experience in downstream bioprocessing for biologics/therapeutics. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with chromatography, NFF, and TFF and be able to independently plan and execute process development experiments.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute process development experimentsPerform chromatography, Normal Flow Filtration (NFF), and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF)Document experiments in lab notebooks and worksheetsPerform data entry, analysis, and interpretationDesign experiments and modify worksheets with minimal directionSupport process characterization and scale-up activitiesApply statistical analysis for senior-level candidatesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field4+ years of industry experience for Scientist 12 years may be considered for a strong Sr. Associate / Level 1 candidateStrong downstream bioprocessing experienceHands-on Chromatography, NFF & TFFUnderstanding of GMP practicesFamiliarity with analytical assaysGeneral understanding of FDA and EU/EMA regulationsSelf-motivated, organized, and able to work independently
