Mechanic 3rd shift

Job Overview: As an Entry-Level Mechanic, you will assist in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment. Working the 3rd shift, you will be part of a team that ensures machinery operates efficiently and safely during nighttime hours. Your role is essential in minimizing downtime and supporting productivity through hands-on mechanical work. Key Responsibilities: Maintenance and Repair: Assist in performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment. Help diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs under the guidance of senior mechanics. Replace or repair defective parts such as bearings, gears, and belts. Troubleshooting: Support in identifying mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Aid in analyzing malfunctioning systems and implementing appropriate solutions. Test repaired systems to ensure they are functioning correctly. Documentation: Keep basic records of maintenance and repair activities. Document parts and materials used, and assist in tracking work orders and service logs. Report any major repairs or potential issues to supervisors. Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Adhere to all regulatory and company guidelines for mechanical maintenance and repairs. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Collaboration: Work with other maintenance staff and production teams to address equipment issues. Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding the status of repairs and maintenance tasks. Learn from and support senior mechanics and team members. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or an associate degree in mechanical technology or a related field is a plus but not mandatory.
