Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.Make a meaningful impact supporting students with visual impairments in a rewarding contract role starting July 27th, 2026, through May 25th, 2027. Serve as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, providing specialized instruction across multiple school locations near Gainesville, GA. This part-time opportunity offers roughly 20 hours per week, collaborating closely with students, families, and staff to help every learner thrive.Qualifications & Experience:Current Georgia teaching certification in Special Education – Visual Impairment (P–12) OR Special Education with a Visual Impairment endorsementExperience teaching or supporting students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school settingSolid understanding of adapting curriculum materials and environments for accessibilityStrong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teamsAbility to travel between sites as neededIn This Role, You Will:Deliver individualized and group instruction using evidence-based strategies for visually impaired studentsAssess student needs and develop appropriate IEP goals, accommodations, and materialsCollaborate with classroom teachers to adapt instruction and create accessible learning environmentsServe as an advocate and resource for students, families, and school staffParticipate in IEP meetings and help ensure compliance with all relevant regulationsProvide training and support for use of assistive technologiesThis contract assignment offers the chance to work with dedicated professionals and make a real difference in students' lives.
