Job DescriptionDESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:The person selected will:Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of a relevant community college curriculum in Administration of Justice;Provide instruction in Law Enforcement and Corrections Associate and Certificate programs;Prepare complete course syllabi and outline, and work on articulation with local colleges and universities;Adapt instructional techniques to accommodate varied learning styles and abilities to support student success;Teach day, evening, and/or weekend assignments;Participate in district/college/division committees as required to maintain and improve the instructional program;Establish and participate in the activities of the Administration of Justice Advisory Committee;Be committed to the participatory governance process.Required QualificationsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:The successful candidate, by the final filing date, must possess the minimum qualifications for instructors in Administration of Justice at California Community Colleges:Any associate degree and six years of full-time occupational experience in the related field ORAny bachelor's degree and two years of full-time occupational experience in the related field ORThe equivalent ORPossess a California Community life credential in the subject matter area.
