Industrial Electrician
Industrial ElectricianThe Industrial Electrician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing electrical systems on production equipment. This role will ensure that all machinery is operating efficiently, with minimal downtime, to support production schedules and company goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in diagnosing electrical problems in industrial equipment, following safety protocols, and working collaboratively with other maintenance and production teams.Job Duties:Inspect, maintain, and repair electrical components of production machinery and equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, including PLCs, motors, sensors, and wiringPerform regular preventative maintenance to ensure machinery uptime and optimal performanceRead and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and manualsInstall, upgrade, and modify electrical systems as necessary to improve machine performance or safetyCollaborate with other maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and solve complex equipment issuesFollow safety guidelines and company protocols for lockout/tagout, electrical work, and equipment operationMaintain accurate records of all electrical repairs, replacements, and maintenance performedIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in equipment performance and reliabilityAssist in the planning and implementation of new equipment installations and modificationsRespond promptly to equipment breakdowns, ensuring minimal impact on production schedulesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heightsAbility to stand, walk, and bend for extended periodsWorking Conditions:Long pants, safety shoes, and safety glasses with side shields required.Personal Protective Equipment as required according to job dutiesNo drinking or eating in designated areasMay be exposed to noise, varying temperatures, dirt and/or chemicals in some areasEmployees may be required to successfully complete location specific training to maintain eligibility for positionYou Must Have:A Journeyman Electrical License valid in the State of Minnesota3+ years of experience as an industrial or machine services electrician in a manufacturing environmentIn-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery and professional experience working with PLCs, VFDs, and HMI systemsAbility to read and understand electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manualsKnowledge of relevant safety regulations, including OSHA and NFPA standardsWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call as requiredWe Value:Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skillsFamiliarity with production environments and equipment such as CNC machines, conveyors, presses, and packaging systemsWhat's In It For You:Enjoy work-life balance with company-provided holidays and vacation timeResideo provides employees a comprehensive benefits package, including life and health insurance, life assistance programs, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, disability insurance, and retirement plans with a company match
