Job Description
The Management Communication Center at the Warrington College of Business is hiring adjunct instructors to teach in our undergraduate Professional Writing classes during the Fall 2026 semester. This position is for in-person teaching.
Ideal candidates will have a flexible schedule, a passion for teaching, and a strong grasp of English Grammar and Plain English style.
Adjuncts will be scheduled to work on an as-needed basis and paid $4,600 per section.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in an appropriate area (Communication, English, etc.), or master's degree or higher in an unrelated area with a bachelor's degree in appropriate area and relevant training or experience in appropriate area
Teaching experience in an appropriate area (Communication, English, etc.) at the college level
Business knowledge and experience is preferred, but not required
Strong grasp of English Grammar

Responsibilities
Lead twice-weekly in-person classes of 20 students
Base instruction on Key Learning Objectives for the course
Adhere to given syllabus and assignment schedule
Follow established course curriculum and course principles as determined by lead instructor
Develop engaging section activities appealing to diverse learners
Connect in-class materials to business communication concepts
Promptly return student work and promptly reply to student and administrative emails
Attend scheduled adjunct team meetings
Hold weekly office hours (minimum 1 hour per week per section)
