We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk with experience working in a detail-oriented environment.The Shipping and Receiving Clerk II position is responsible for the physical processing of orders, receiving inventory, and general inventory management. The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, like working with people and have at least 2 year of experience working in a warehouse or similar setting. This includes inventory control processes to cycle count, inspect, move, order, and dispose of stock as needed. This position is responsible for working with complex customer accounts and their own specialized programs.Receiving ResponsibilitiesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESVerify and keep records of incoming shipments.Receive, unpack, and put away incoming product.Shipping ResponsibilitiesPrint, pull, check, and ship orders.Verify and keep records of outgoing shipments.Prepare and package items for shipments accurately.Complete Certificate (CofC / CMTR’s) for all noted ordersAssist customers at will-call.Inform the Supervisor of stock-offs.Maintain warehouse supply stock levels and report any items needed to the Branch Supervisor.Inventory Control ResponsibilitiesClean and organize the warehouse area.Perform cycle counts/inventory adjustments.Follows all safety policies and procedures for maintaining a safe work environment.Assist the Branch Supervisor to prepare for VMI deliveries.In Addition The Shipping & Receiving Clerk II IsResponsible to assist the warehouse lead with the training and cross-training of associates.Communicates effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership regarding the status of shipments.Maintains a functional knowledge of complex customers and their software requirements.Able to navigate Microsoft Suite (Access, Outlook, Excel, etc.)Maintains a system of organization that allows for agility and open communication when things change.All other tasks and responsibilities as deemed reasonable by the leadership team.CORE COMPETENCIESOutstanding customer focus and level of serviceExcellent oral and written communicationProfessionalismHighly organizedProblem-solving abilityAttention to detail and accuracyKnowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesEducationA two-year degree, preferably in a technical field, or equivalent work experienceExperience2 plus years of customer service, materials management, or procurement experienceRequired Skills And CertificationsHigh-level mechanical aptitudeBasic product knowledgeOrganizational awarenessMaintain annual visual acuity certification.Equipment And Software RequirementsProficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Shipping softwareUPS Wordship software UPS Wordship softwareFed Ex Ship Manager softwareWorking knowledge of SAP-B1 business systemWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSStandard warehouse environment including associated tools, and safety concerns.Routinely lift up to 45 pounds.Repeatable bending and reaching of inventory and supplies.Standing for long periods of timeJOB CODE: 1161
