Position summary: Wilks Property Management is looking for a full-time front desk guest services who is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support. This individual must maintain a professional, and welcoming demeanor, at all times (wearing a uniform and name tag). This position covers some evening and night shifts such as 3:00 pm- 11:00 pm or 11:00 pm- 7:00 am, as well as some weekends and holidays. There will be possible overtime. Key Roles/Responsibilities: Must efficiently serve guest needs during all stages of guest contact (pre-arrival, arrival, stay, and departure) for exceptional guest service and security. Wear a uniform and name tag at all times on property. Assist all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction. Greet, register and process guests promptly upon arrival and departure, to ensure guest satisfaction. Make and confirm reservations. Post charges, such as those for rooms, food, or telephone calls, to ledgers. Thoroughly understand and adhere to proper credit and cash-handling policies and procedures. Know room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Review accounts and charges with guests during the check out process. Use suggestive selling techniques to sell rooms and promote other services of the hotel. Use proper telephone etiquette. Keep supervisor informed of all problems or unusual matters. Perform other duties as requested or required by supervisors (e.g., breakfast setup, laundry folding, room inspections). Know all safety and emergency procedures and be aware of accident prevention policies. Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the front desk and lobby areas. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications: Hotel: 1 year (preferred) Learning – Ability to quickly learn front desk technical procedures, such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operations, telephone operations, etc. Multi-Tasking – Ability to work well on multiple tasks at the same time. Friendly & Cheerful – Ability to be friendly and cheerful. Stress – Ability to cope with stress, showing self-control during excitement. Written & Verbal Communication – Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Oral Comprehension – Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented. Speech Clarity – Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you. Number Facility – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly. Foresight – Ability to anticipate the needs of a guest or team member and act accordingly. Tactful. Must be able to speak English. Bilingual (preferred) Must have dependable transportation. Working Conditions: Prolonged periods standing at front desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. Positions self to install equipment, including under desks. Moves throughout the building to assist guests. Must be able to comprehend and follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to complete tasks even with frequent interruptions. Must be able to use discretion and independent judgment as needed. Must be able to speak clearly on the phone and to fellow workers.
