Hi! We are an industry-changing plant-based no-waste food-tech startup on an extreme growth trajectory and looking for a Processing Operations Coordinator for our Manufacturing Plant. We are a fun, collaborative group, and very passionate when it comes to our work. First and foremost, we are looking for someone with experience and enthusiasm who shares our passion for disruption centered around better quality plant-based food free from gums, preservatives, or other fillers, and a real commitment to less-waste lifestyle. Overview As Processing Coordinator at Numilk your first responsibility is in Safety and Quality. You will be responsible of the Processing Operation for small and large batches. You will participate in the planning and scheduling process for the factory, and ingredient inventory management. Lastly, you will also make sure the Processing areas are efficiently organized and clean, according to our Good Manufacturing Practices standards. Key Responsibilities Safety & Quality · Ensure the plant culture is such that nothing we do is worth getting hurt. Follow established safe practices. · Follow all Food Safety guidelines to ensure our products meet the highest Quality standards. Process Operations · Load ingredients for every batch · Oversee each batch, performing periodic quality checks throughout the process · Once batches are completed, proceed to transfer the product to the corresponding storage tank · Identify improvement ideas to reduce batch cycle time · Provide feedback on ingredient inventory where appropriate Production Planning · Keep an updated record of the flavors being produced and their expected cycle time · Participate in the weekly Production Planning Meeting providing input as needed · Make sure the schedule is followed, and raise potential issues timely. Plant Standards · Participate in the Good Manufacturing Practices audit for house keeping weekly. · Ensure the processing areas are always clean and organized Minimum Qualifications Entrepreneurial spirit working in an agile, fast paced environment Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Manufacturing Environment Attention to detail, and proficiency in Math Excellent team player and collaborator, able to function effectively across the different plant functions Preferred Qualifications Experience in Food Manufacturing Experience in a startup environment Experience in Quality Assurance systems Proficiency in digital applications (Excel, Google Sheets, Calendar, etc) Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday No nights No weekends Rotating weekends Experience: Manufacturing Operator: 3 years (Required) Ability to Commute: Brewster, NY 10509 (Required) Ability to Relocate: Brewster, NY 10509: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
