Harco Fittings LLC, founded in 1966 in Lynchburg, Virginia is a producer of gasketed joint injection-molded PVC and push-on gasketed joint ductile fittings. Our Harco locations span across seven states in the US and we are looking for new individuals to come be a part of a dynamic and growing team today!
We currently have an exciting opportunity as a Shipper and Receiver. This role is based in our facility in Bellingham, WA and reports to the Production Manager. This position will start at $24.37 per hour.
Job Summary
The Shipper - Receiver is responsible for general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, supplies and equipment.
Principal Responsibilities
Work safely and be quality conscious
Follow established work procedures and instructions, including mandated safety guidelines
Remain calm and professional during peak periods
Follow timelines and schedules while exhibiting strong attention to detail
Work as and contribute to being a team
Safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, order selectors, reach trucks and pallet jacks.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and situations as they arise, notifying appropriate staff of problems beyond scope of normality
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
High School diploma or certificate of completion is preferred
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
Applicant must be able to read, write and speak English
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Must be a self-starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills coupled with an eagerness to learn
Great teammate with a proven track record to contribute to and cultivate a positive work environment
Shipping and receiving experience is preferred but not required
Work at heights of up to 16 feet on ladders or platform trucks
Set work schedule Monday – Friday; Overtime and Weekends as needed
Working Conditions
Requires good mobility and involves considerable routine walking, standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to a maximum of 70 lbs.
