Apartment Maintenance Techncian

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of residential apartment communities. Your expertise will ensure that residents enjoy a comfortable, well-maintained living environment. You will play a vital role in troubleshooting issues, performing repairs, and supporting the overall upkeep of our residential properties. Duties Conduct routine inspections of apartment units and common areas to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards. Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, appliances, and structural elements. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently. Operate tools such as welders, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to complete complex repairs. Complete residential painting projects as required to restore or enhance property aesthetics. Maintain detailed records of work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Communicate effectively with residents to address concerns promptly and provide excellent customer service. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or residential property upkeep with a strong mechanical background. Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques including the use of an ohmmeter. Skilled in welding techniques and familiar with programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Ability to perform residential painting and basic carpentry repairs confidently. Strong electrical experience with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and schematics. Experience supervising or leading maintenance teams is preferred but not required. Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interactions. Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management is advantageous. Ability to handle diverse maintenance tasks efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
