SummaryJob Description: The Financial Business Consultant will collaborate with senior leaders and various business areas to develop annual financial budgets, forecasts and future expense planning. This role will be responsible to provide budget / forecast variance explanations to leadership for consolidation and distribution to business areas. While supporting and following a multidisciplinary team approach as a liaison with key internal business areas, the Financial Business Consultant will be responsible for managing the financial month end close as well as recommending actionable items leading to potential cost savings or quality improvements for the Health Plan. This role will partner closely with the Cost Accounting team on cost allocations.Essential AccountabilitiesLevel IConsults with senior leaders, business unit management, and personnel to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures and results problems, in order to identify trends within the business, as well as key drivers, and calculating key operating metrics, in a meaningful format to management in an accurate and timely manner.Manages month end close, prepares reporting and reviews financial results with leaders.Supports assigned operational areas with preparing annual operating budgets, quarterly forecast updates, variance analysis and ad-hoc requests in a timely and accurate manner.Collaborates with business unit management and personnel to understand strategy including internal and external factors in order to accurately provide financial guidance to influence global strategy. Providing monthly/quarterly forecasts and variances and make recommendations to support the strategy.Consistently demonstrates high standards of integrity by supporting the Lifetime Healthcare Companies’ mission and values, adhering to the Corporate Code of Conduct, and leading to the Lifetime Way values and beliefs.Maintains high regard for member privacy in accordance with the corporate privacy policies and procedures.Regular and reliable attendance is expected and required.Performs other functions as assigned by management.Level II (in addition to Level I Accountabilities)Streamlines and enhances reporting and analytics processes to drive efficiency and improve the quality of meaningful insights across the asset-enabled businesses.Works with leadership to implement best practices across the group by providing meaningful, actionable insights, advice, and recommendations on historic and the future financial performance.Acts as the go-to person along with coordinate daily activities when necessary.Acts as a mentor to teammates and constantly seek opportunities to improve.Level III (in addition to Level II Accountabilities)Supports M&A due diligence and establishes pro-forma budgets as necessary. Ensures that the necessary reporting structure is properly setup for monthly/quarterly management reporting.Provides ongoing value-added analysis / insight to key finance and commercial stakeholders, both during the period and at the close of the period.Processes complex data and synthesize it into formats acceptable for executive consumption in order to facilitate the decision-making process.Minimum QualificationsNOTE: We include multiple levels of classification differentiated by demonstrated knowledge, skills, and the ability to manage increasingly independent and/or complex assignments, broader responsibility, additional decision making, and in some cases, becoming a resource to others. In addition to using this differentiated approach to place new hires, it also provides guideposts for employee development and promotional opportunities.All LevelsFour (4) years of related experience.Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field.Excellent verbal and communication skills with the ability to present clear and concise information to all levels.Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.Ability to problem solve, think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.Level II (in Addition To Level I Qualifications)Seven (7) years of related experience, of which two (2) are within FP&A preferred.Ability to work collaboratively with divisional leadership and teams, while challenging assumptions / resource allocation requests to make sure they are in the best interest of the business and within our financial guidelines.Ability to collaboratively translate financial information to successfully influence, drive and support business decisions and operations.Level III (in Addition To Level II Qualifications)Nine (9) years of related experience, of which four (4) are within FP&A preferred.Advanced degree or CPA certification preferred.Ability to anticipate, influence and lead divisional leadership and teams, while challenging assumptions / resource allocation requests to make sure they are in the best interest of the business and within our financial guidelines.Ability to independently translate financial information to successfully influence, drive and support business decisions and operations.Physical RequirementsAbility to work while sitting and/or standing at a workstation viewing a computer and using a keyboard, mouse and/or phone for three (3) or more hours at a time.Ability to travel across the Health Plan service region for meetings and/or trainings as needed.One Mission.
