Healthcare Shares Overview
Healthcare Shares is a healthcare venture capital fund investing broadly in social-impact healthcare startups. Psychiatrist Advisors will support the investment diligence process by evaluating startups through the lens of psychiatric safety, evidence-based treatment pathways, psychopharmacology oversight, multimorbidity management, suicide-risk safeguards, virtual-care feasibility, and longitudinal therapeutic continuity. While our investment scope is broad, psychiatry provides essential perspective on care quality, neurobiologic treatment logic, therapeutic alliance, crisis response protocols, medication-monitoring fidelity, and integration with primary care and specialty networks.Core Responsibilities

• Advise portfolio companies on psychiatric prescribing protocols, screening standards, trauma-informed care design, virtual-group logistics, and comorbidity management (depression, anxiety, SUD, bipolar, ADHD).
• Collaborate with primary care, neurology, emergency medicine, psychology, and social-work advisors to review patient-safety safeguards and cross-specialty coordination.
