Direct Care Staff

Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Staff to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in a care home or home care setting. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their well-being. The successful candidate will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for those they support, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their individual needs Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Facilitate participation in social activities and community outings where appropriate Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines Assist with medication administration as authorised and trained to do so Drive clients to appointments or activities using company vehicles, subject to holding a valid driving licence Skills Valid driving licence with experience driving various vehicles (desirable) Previous experience working within care homes or providing home care services is advantageous Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English Proficient IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation and records Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards individuals with diverse needs Good organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently This role offers an enriching opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting others and making a positive impact within the community.
