Payroll Clerk- Hybrid or On SiteFull-time Hourly PositionWilsonville, ORAvamere Living is seeking a full-time Payroll Clerk to join our corporate team in Wilsonville, OR in a hybrid role (on-site 2-3 days/week or can accommodate on-site 5 days/week if preferred). The primary responsibility of this position is the main point of contact for Business Office Managers/Payroll personnel in the facilities. They will focus on the “front end” of the payroll process by answering day to day operation and providing on the spot training/support for UltiPro and Dimensions. They will review the payroll files as they are submitted from the facilities and troubleshoot any issues that arise from their audit of the payroll prior to processing.Avamere Living began in 1995, as a single Skilled Nursing Facility in Hillsboro, Oregon. Escalate issues when appropriate.Process unemployment requests.Process termination reporting, pay cards, direct deposit entries, and Employee Self Service.Process Bureau of Labor Statistics requests (BLS).Assist with documentation on payroll processes and maintain filing for the department. Process garnishments.Process semi-monthly cash reconciliations and identify any issues.Cross train with the entire Payroll department and document procedures.Process monthly union dues as well as quarterly union reporting.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent, additional schooling or training highly preferred. Preferred 1+ years of experience processing payroll, or in a similar accounting field, but not required, will train ideal candidate.Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and payroll principles and procedures.Excellent communication and verbal skills (both written and oral) in order to effectively problem solve with other employees, all levels of Avamere staff and third parties external to Avamere.Excellent organizational and time management skills in order to maintain accurate records and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and solve problems with minimal assistance.Understanding of modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment.Proven capability for effective use of computer systems including spreadsheet, word processing and email software.Strong Excel skills needed and experience with Sage, Espresso or Dimensions is a plus.Must maintain a high standard of confidentiality, integrity and honesty.Integrity, passion, quality—these are not just words we say, but ideals we choose to guide and influence every decision we make.
