Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Title: Accounts Receivable ClerkJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will be responsible for managing incoming payments, properly tracking them into the system, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a key part in ensuring the company's cash flow by monitoring outstanding invoices and following up with clients on overdue accounts.Responsibilities+ Generate and send invoices to customers in a timely manner.+ Process incoming payments via check, credit card, ACH, or other methods.+ Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for.+ Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up as needed.+ Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues.+ Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.+ Prepare aging reports and assist with month-end closing procedures.+ Communicate with customers regarding account balances and payment status.+ Collaborate with internal teams (sales, customer service, accounting) to resolve issues.Essential Skills+ High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.+ 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable or general accounting.+ Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.+ Experience with ERP systems such as SAP and a CRM, or other systems like Oracle or NetSuite.+ Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.+ Excellent organizational and time management skills.+ Good communication and customer service abilities.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Experience in cash application, collection, and invoicing is beneficial.Work EnvironmentThis role involves working with ERP systems and accounting software, requiring proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The position demands strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively. The Accounts Receivable Clerk will collaborate with various internal teams, fostering a cooperative work environment. The dress code is business casual, and the work hours are standard business hours with some flexibility as needed.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Bronx, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
