Laser Operator

Job Summary Classification: Non‑Exempt Employee – Laser Operator Reports To: Production Superintendent Shift: 1st – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate laser cutting/engraving equipment to produce precise parts. Read blueprints and nesting diagrams to meet tolerances and quality standards. Load and secure materials, adjust laser settings, and monitor production runs. Perform quality checks and troubleshoot issues during operation. Carry out basic maintenance tasks and follow safety and lean manufacturing practices. Qualifications Typically 1–3 years of laser operation experience. Ability to read blueprints/GDT and use measurement tools. Good teamwork skills and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment. Physical ability to stand, lift, and handle repetitive tasks. Work Environment Manufacturing setting with required personal protective equipment. Potential overtime or shift work. Emphasis on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
