Position: HVAC B Technician
Job description
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain and install HVAC and related equipment as assigned. Assume day to day coordination of specific agreements or projects as assigned to assure contractual commitments are met in a timely, cost effective manner.
Perform maintenance/service at customer locations
Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, modifications and repairs to HVAC commercial equipment.
Coordinated with service estimator to compile repair proposals
Accurately communicate and discuss work performed with customers and internal management
Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner
Nights/Weekends on call rotation

Minimum Requirements
Prior Commercial HVAC experience or relevant schooling is a must.
Must be EPA certified
Skilled in the use of personal computers with Microsoft Office or the equivalents used by customers.
Good communication skills
Participate in service on-call rotation (24/7 on-call for approximately 1 week/month)
Adherence to Company safety standards at all times
Valid drivers license with no major traffic violations or DUI's in the last 5 years
Position is highly physical. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, kneel for long periods of time
Be able to get on and off a ladder and work off of a ladder for long periods of time
Be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Be able to work in diverse environments (noisy equipment rooms, rooftops, extreme weather conditions, areas where risk of electrical shock is present)
Must be able to work at various heights
Solve problems effectively by seeking out relevant information in print and online
Visualize potential outcomes
Work well with others and alone if needed
Be able to color coordinate electrical wire and cables
Travel out of town as needed with overnight stays if necessary
Work nights and weekends as the business requires
Skills will consist of servicing a variety of HVAC equipment such as Water Source Heat Pumps, Package Units, Split Systems, Boilers, Chillers, VAV Units, Cooling Towers and VFDs.
Must understand basic controls of such systems and knowledge of how to use gages, add refrigerant and how to use a vacuum pump.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent with associated HVAC technical training and/or experience.
