Machine Shop Manager (Aerospace Manufacturing)Onsite | On the Space Coast of FloridaI’m working with a well-established aerospace manufacturer looking to add a Machine Shop Manager/Value Stream Manager to lead daily operations across a high-mix, precision machining environment.This is a critical leadership role with direct impact on production, delivery, and continuous improvement efforts. The right person will bring a mix of hands-on machining knowledge, team leadership, and operational discipline.What You’ll Be Responsible For:Lead daily operations of a machine shop supporting complex machined components and assembliesDevelop and manage manufacturing plans for new and existing ordersOwn production scheduling, execution, and delivery performanceCoordinate across functions including programming, procurement, inspection, and planningMonitor production progress and adjust resources to meet cost, quality, and schedule targetsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across the shop floorLead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality or delivery issuesEnsure all work meets customer, regulatory, and contractual requirementsManage, coach, and develop a team of machinists and support staffMaintain visibility into all open work and ensure smooth flow across shifts and departmentsWhat They’re Looking For:Experience leading a machine shop or machining-focused manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of CNC machining, programming, and shop floor operationsExperience managing production schedules, priorities, and delivery commitmentsAbility to lead teams and drive accountability in a fast-paced environmentExperience with continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)Strong communication skills across operations, engineering, and leadershipWhy This Role:This is a high-impact position where you’ll play a key role in aligning production with business goals, improving performance, and leading a skilled team in a precision manufacturing environment.
