We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Projects team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Senior Programs Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
Provide Christ-centered leadership and oversight to Program Managers, empowering them to achieve program objectives in a timely, efficient, ethical, quality, and cost-effective manner while appropriately discerning and addressing critical physical, emotional, and spiritual concerns among staff.
Strengthen program quality and continuous improvement, leading the development and final review of concept papers and proposals while promoting sustainable, appropriate, timely, effective, and accountable programming aligned with best practices.
Provide strong financial and operational stewardship, reviewing program financial reports, analyzing spending, and providing actionable guidance to Program Managers and Finance while coordinating with supply chain, logistics, fleet, and other support departments to resolve needs efficiently.
Ensure clear communication, reporting, and accountability, providing regular program updates to senior leadership and reviewing and approving timely, accurate reports for donors, IHQ, and other stakeholders.
Engage directly with field programs and staff, conducting site visits to encourage leaders, provide support, address challenges, strengthen program quality, and identify opportunities for new or expanded ministry impact.
Strengthen strategic partnerships and organizational direction, supporting senior leadership with strategic planning and policy development while representing Samaritan's Purse DRC with government authorities, UN agencies, NGOs, INGOs, donors, and Samaritan's Purse Affiliates to foster collaboration and secure information and resources.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with 34 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master's degree is preferred. Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies are strongly preferred.
Ability to design and develop programs and proposals, including monitoring and evaluation documents, work plans, budgets, and other program design materials, with strong attention to quality and alignment with organizational objectives.
Ability to provide strong management and strategic leadership while adapting effectively to the challenges and opportunities of working in a developing-world context.
Ability to apply strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to assess needs, identify solutions, and make sound decisions in support of effective program implementation.
Ability to independently develop and execute work plans, solve problems, and manage priorities with initiative, sound judgment, and a commitment to excellence.
