Candidates can work remotely from home in the Eastern Time zones.Position OverviewThis role supports a major data system enhancement effort and focuses on developing high quality SQL based reports, documenting reporting requirements, and enabling intuitive self-service reporting for end users. The position involves building new reports, validating existing ones, mapping UI fields to database structures, and supporting a planned system enhancement for a new program. You'll also handle time sensitive ad hoc data requests that require direct database access.This is a hands-on reporting and documentation role that blends SQL development, requirements analysis, and collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.Top ResponsibilitiesReporting DevelopmentDevelop and validate new reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Report BuilderCreate recurring subscriptions, intuitive self-service reports, and reusable Visual Studio report templatesBuild and optimize SQL queries to support reporting needsComplete ad hoc data requests for information not available through the user interfaceRequirements & DocumentationGather and interpret functional reporting requirementsDocument report design, including UI to database field mapping and schema referencesProduce clear technical documentation covering design, logic, and implementationSupport reporting needs associated with upcoming system enhancementsSelf Service Reporting & User SupportPromote and support self service reporting capabilitiesAssist users in understanding available data and report functionalityProvide guidance on report usage and data interpretationExperience with analytic tools such as Tableau Server is a plusCore Technologies & ToolsReporting & DataSQL Server, SSRS, SQL Server Report BuilderVisual Studio report developmentOracle 11g, Toad for Oracle (v11.6-12.1), SQL OptimizerTableau Server (preferred)Application Modernization (Front End & Middleware)This environment includes ongoing modernization of a legacy application stack.
