Ballet Teacher (All Levels)
Are you passionate about dance and eager to inspire students of all ages? At Studio North Dance Arts, we believe that dance is for everyone - whether beginning as a preschooler, continuing as a teen, or returning as an adult (or trying something new as a teen or adult!). We strive to ignite a lasting love of dance while encouraging individuals to achieve their full potential in the studio and in life, cultivate discipline and dedication, and foster a supportive dance community through training and performance.
We offer once-a-week classes for recreational students who enjoy multiple interests, as well as a more intensive Pre-Pro and Competition Team programs for the dance student who has decided that dance is their passion. Our school year runs September through May, culminating in a themed recital for family and friends at the end of the school year. We also offer an 8-week summer session starting in June, as well as themed camps for those who want to continue through the summer months.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach engaging and dynamic dance classes to students of all ages and skill levels
Create and implement lesson plans that inspire and challenge students
Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential
Foster a positive, inclusive, and fun learning environment
Prepare students for the annual recital and other performances
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Participate in studio events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
Proven experience in teaching dance to various age groups and skill levels
Proficiency in ballet technique
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to inspire and engage students
Passion for dance and commitment to the studio's mission
Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field preferred but not require
Cecchetti method preferred, but not required
