Job Title: Quality Control Engineer
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Type: 12 month Contract
Compensation: $57.00 - $61.00 per hour
Contractor Work Model: Onsite – onsite
Responsibilities
Implement the quality program across generation (power plant) projects to ensure compliance and excellence.
Support project execution by verifying proper installation, startup, and commissioning of equipment, reducing rework and warranty issues.
Participate in project reviews, inspections, quality plan development, and resolve installation or contractor quality issues.
Review project plans and schedules, update QA programs, analyze quality reports, and assist in developing project‑specific quality plans.
Conduct site visits to power plants, perform inspections, installation walkdowns, and coordinate with contractors.
Perform shop visits, track issues and resolutions across multiple projects.
Requirements
Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred; Civil/Structural acceptable)
Quality control/quality assurance experience or certifications
Experience in power generation or industrial environments
Knowledge of inspection/testing procedures and identifying construction defects
Proficiency in Microsoft Officeli>
3–7+ years of experience, but open to more experienced candidates
Background in power plants, utilities, or industrial environments required
Engineering + QA/QC experience required
Utility, power generation, or heavy industrial experience preferred
