Production Planner
The Production Planner is responsible for the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure all deadlines are met. They manage material and equipment availability, schedule production and monitor the production process for problems including incoming orders, supply chain problems, market changes and inventory issues, to minimize the impact on production. They collaborate with other departments and the management team to set production goals.Responsibilities:Plans, schedules, and coordinates production of the company's products.Evaluates raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.Watches costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.Reports on the production status and any production issues to upper management.Handles production disruptions and productivity problems.Finds ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.Must observe all safety rules and regulations as they pertain to own job, work area and overall environment.Ensures all appropriate parts are in place and ready to go.Follows instructions, responds to management direction.Asks for and offers help when needed.Other duties as assigned/needed.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus 5 + years of production planning or scheduling experience.Experience in medical device company is preferred.Knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety procedures.Math and analytical skills required.Technical skills using material requirements planning and scheduling software highly desired. D365 a huge plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with all levels of employees.Highly organized with superior time-management skills needed.CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
