Working directly with line of business leaders and cross-functional technology teams, this role transforms complex business requirements into scalable reporting solutions that improve operational performance and drive data-informed decision-making.Success in this role comes from combining technical expertise with analytical curiosity, peer leadership, and strong business partnership while continually advancing reporting standards, analytics capabilities, and the organization's data culture.Responsibilities Analytics LeadershipLead large analytics initiatives through planning, execution, and completion by providing peer leadership, collaborating across functional teams, building consensus with business and senior stakeholders, and implementing logical solutionsOwn the full analytics delivery lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancementsBuild, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards, reports, data automation solutions, and performance metrics that support key business decisionsProactively evaluate data and data technology trends to guide business partners on emerging opportunitiesEnsure data accuracy, quality, and consistent reporting by designing analytics solutions with appropriate data controls aligned to established policies, procedures, and standardsDrive development standards and best practices across analytics tooling, including SQL, Python, PowerBI, and DatabricksPresent analytical findings, KPI insights, and recommendations directly to senior leadership Power BI & Business IntelligenceCreate consistent dashboards, reporting, and analytics experiences for business usersElicit and understand business requirements from stakeholders, translating business needs into BI solutions and data models that transform raw data into meaningful insightsTranslate ambiguous business challenges into structured analytical problems and actionable reporting solutions Data Engineering & AnalyticsPartner with business users to derive requirements, identify data sources, and transform data using SQL and Python to produce file extracts for Power BI dashboards and downstream systemsPartner with Data Engineering and Cloud teams to define and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines, Azure Databricks transformations, and SQL Server structuresPerform exploratory, ad hoc, and qualitative analysis to identify trends, customer behaviors, operational opportunities, system issues, and non-recurring reporting needsCreate customized calculations and business intelligence solutions that improve performance visibility and decision-making Technical Leadership & MentorshipInform technology direction by evaluating emerging tools, capabilities, and data platformsProvide thought leadership and mentorship to junior developers and analysts while elevating the maturity of the analytics practiceInfluence enterprise adoption of data-driven decision-making and support data culture transformation initiativesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, MIS, Statistics, or another relevant discipline; Master's degree in a data-related field preferred5-10 years of analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering experience within financial services or another complex enterprise environmentExpert-level proficiency in:• SQL, including advanced optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning• Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, semantic models, and enterprise design patterns• Python for data wrangling and analytics• Data visualization best practices and user-centered dashboard designExperience with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake, SQL Server, and hybrid cloud data environmentsDemonstrated ability to deliver analytics solutions that influence executive decision-making and drive measurable business outcomesStrong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data concepts for non-technical stakeholdersStrong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive initiativesDemonstrated ability to communicate and support data culture transformation initiativesClient-centered approach to partnering with line-of-business stakeholdersNice to HaveMicrosoft Fabric experienceKnowledge of major banking core systems including Signature, MeridianLink, Encompass, Executrax MCIF, Salesforce, or similar platformsAgile project delivery experienceProven ability to guide business partners through data-driven transformationNot your type of gig, but know someone who would be interested?
