Electrical Engineer
Join the team of Employee Owners at Mi-T-M!Job SummaryAs an Electrical Engineer, you will be tasked with a wide array of projects to support Mi-T-M's product line of pressure washers, air compressors, generators, and other industrial equipment. In this role you will manage all phases of the project cycle, including initial design concepts, building prototypes, conducting testing, and product launch. You will also manage Mi-T-M's various certifications, maintaining existing reports, conducting certification testing on new units, and leading regular audits. A successful candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills and be capable of leading cross-functional project teams.Hours: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Monday through FridayResponsibilitiesCreate, modify, and release engineering documentation: wiring diagrams, BOMs, and testing/inspection proceduresConduct certification compliance testing and compile required documentation (e.g., UL, CSA)Manage and meet project deadlines across concept design, prototyping, testing, and production launch phaseCommunicate product specifications and technical details with customers and suppliers.Identify, source, and specify electrical componentsCollaborate with the Purchasing team to manage supplier relationshipsSupport prototype builds and testing, ensuring performance, safety, fit, and serviceability requirements are metResearch and recommend alternative components, or processes to improve product quality or reduce costsCreate and modify control programs for PLC's using manufacturer provided softwareRepresent Mi-T-M professionally on technical and certification standard committeesTravel up to 10% for trade shows, factory visits, or customer supportAdditional duties as assignedJob QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar2-5 years of experience in design and use of industrial products, such as pressure washers, air compressors, and generators preferred.Familiarity with UL, CSA standards strongly preferredStrong knowledge on electrical components and their applicationAbility to use electrical tools, such as a multimeter, for testing and troubleshootingCapable of working in a hands-on, fast-paced environmentMust be detail oriented and have strong analytical and communication skillsAbility to creatively solve problemsSkilled using MS OfficeExperience creating and modifying wiring diagrams in AutoCAD
