As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to maintain proper production by ensuring that the production line equipment is working at full capacity.What We’re Looking ForWe are currently hiring a Maintenance Manager. As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in directing and coordinating all activities relating to building maintenance, construction projects, equipment maintenance and repair, plant purchasing and parts inventory.General Purpose Of JobThe Maintenance Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the maintenance team and supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment and facilities. This is a working supervisor role that is expected to be actively engaged on the plant floor coaching technicians, troubleshooting equipment issues, assigning and following up on work, and identifying opportunities to improve department performance. The Maintenance Supervisor promotes a strong safety culture, develops employees, drives accountability, and works closely with Production and other departments to reduce downtime and improve overall maintenance effectiveness.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Lead, coach, and support maintenance employees in the safe and effective execution of daily work activities. Serve as a working supervisor by spending significant time on the plant floor assisting with troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and follow-up on maintenance tasks. Plan, prioritize, assign, and monitor routine, preventative, predictive, and emergency maintenance work. Promote and enforce safe work practices, lockout/tagout procedures, housekeeping expectations, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Actively identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are taken in a timely manner to protect employees and equipment. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to maintenance technicians to improve technical skills, work quality, and accountability. Work closely with Production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, minimize downtime, and support operational goals. Inspect equipment and completed work to ensure repairs are effective, workmanship meets standards, and equipment is returned to service safely. Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts for equipment failures and recurring issues. Look for ways to improve maintenance processes, equipment reliability, planning, spare parts usage, and overall department performance. Maintain accurate communication and documentation related to work orders, completed repairs, downtime events, and department priorities. Support scheduling, coordination, and oversight of contractors when needed. Participate in safety meetings, department meetings, and shift turnover communication to ensure alignment and follow-through. Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skill And Experience Required Five years’ experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment. Prior leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to coach, direct, and develop employees. Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of industrial equipment, maintenance practices, and repair methods. Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Ability to identify problems, establish priorities, and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. Working knowledge of maintenance planning, preventative maintenance practices, and work order systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization. Knowledge of workplace safety requirements, including lockout/tagout, safe equipment operation, and hazard recognition. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support operations during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events. Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office and maintenance-related systems. Food processing experience in canned or frozen vegetables desired.Required Education/Training/Certification Qualifications High School diploma or GED required; additional technical or trade school training in industrial maintenance is preferred. Any combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to effectively perform the duties of the position. Leadership training, safety training, or maintenance-related certifications are a plus.Supervisory ResponsibilitySupervise maintenance employees by assigning work, setting expectations, monitoring work quality and completion, coaching performance, supporting training, and reinforcing sound safety and housekeeping practices.
