TO BE CONSIDERED - MUST HAVE: High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license Current auto insurance policy in your name Reliable transportation to travel between client locations throughout the workday Position Details: $20.00 - $24.25 per hour Location: Tracy and surrounding areas Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability optional. Hours: Must commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week between the hours of 3pm - 8pm, and a consistent schedule for at least 6 months at a time. Some morning hours may also be available. Spanish preferred, but not required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance required Ability to travel regularly between client locations Completion of BTL1 Certification & in-person training required (training and costs covered by Active Steps) Ability to actively engage with children, including sitting on the floor, kneeling, bending, running, and standing for extended periods Strong communication skills and a desire to work with children Experience working with children is a plus, but not required Ability to commit to a consistent work schedule for at least 6 months About the Role As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them build communication, social, daily living, and behavioral skills through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. This is a highly active, hands-on role that takes place in clients' homes, schools, community settings, and clinics. Behavior Technicians travel between sessions throughout the day and work directly with children through play, movement, learning activities, and skill-building exercises. This position is ideal for individuals interested in behavioral health, psychology, education, social work, child development, or related fields. No prior ABA experience is required—we provide all training and ongoing support needed for success.
