About the Role As a Software Trainer I, you'll embark on a journey of empowerment, guiding new clients through the intricacies of our software with precision and expertise. Whether conducting virtual or in-person training sessions, your goal remains unwavering: to empower clients with the tools and knowledge needed to unlock the full potential of PHA-Web. With a focus on building confidence and proficiency, you'll pave the way for a more efficient and effective working environment for housing authorities nationwide. We're looking for someone who is organized, steady, and detail-oriented, with the ability to guide others through complex processes. First 3 weeks: onboarding and system trainingNext 6-12 months: working in Support to build deep product knowledgeThen: transition into Training & Implementation What You'll Be Responsible For (Long-Term)Leading client onboarding projects (typically 2-3 months)Delivering remote and onsite training sessionsGuiding clients through both operational and financial workflowsEnsuring clients are confident using the system after go-liveSupporting internal efforts like documentation and curriculum development What Makes Someone Successful HereStrong attention to detail and follow-throughComfortable working within structured processesAble to stay calm and effective with frustrated or overwhelmed clientsClear communicator who can break down complex topicsWorking knowledge of accounting or financial processes Work EnvironmentHybrid (remote + onsite travel when working with clients)Onsite Client Travel up to 50% of time dependent on Client LoadMonday-Friday scheduleFridays reserved for internal work and focused tasks such as reconciliations, documentation, team meetings, and non-client facing conversion tasks Reality of the Role This is not a presentation-only training job. You'll be responsible for helping clients actually use the system correctly. This will involve acting in a Project Manager capacity, building out software structure, training end users on the platform, and ensuring that all financial data is correct upon launch. Clients may be busy, short-staffed, or resistant-patience and structure matter!
