Senior Back-End Java Engineer (Java 17 / Spring Boot / Microservices)

Location: Hybrid – Vienna, VA (Highly Preferred) or Pensacola, FL | 3 days onsite Pay Rate: Competitive – Based on Experience Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST | Hybrid model. Position Description Seeking a Senior Back-End Java Engineer (7–10 years) to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices supporting enterprise digital banking platforms. This role focuses on Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Azure DevOps within a cloud-native (Azure) environment. The engineer will work independently on complex initiatives, contribute to architecture decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams. Prior banking or large financial institution experience (Capital One, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, or similar) is strongly preferred.
