This is a temporary, full-time, onsite position located at our job site near Manhattan, NY. The project is expected to last approximately 2 years. Hours are Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week with possible overtime. SummaryPerforms various administrative tasks related to the daily operation of assigned district or department. Essential FunctionsProvides administrative support to department and manager. Support engineers and field employees on jobsite with various project related tasks and responsibilities. Maintains extensive filing system to ensure back up of all invoices and correspondenceSet up spreadsheets using Excel; edit various PDF documentsMaintains project sign-in/sign-out logEnsures proper paycheck distribution, and time input for hourly based employeesMaintains up to date knowledge of Union Employees’ benefits, changes, and wage adjustments.Set up and coordinate meetings and conferencesMaintains and updates project safety meeting and training logsResearch, price, and purchase office suppliesHandles travel arrangements for all district members going to out of state jobsPrepare shipments for UPS and Fed Ex packagesArrange accommodations for out of state employeesAssisting in new employee orientation and proper set up of paperwork requiredRequirementsMinimum of Associates Degree and/or 3+ years of related administrative experience. Previous experience or interest within the construction industry is preferred.Must have strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn and utilize new software as needed. MS Office, specifically Excel and Word programs, are required.
