This is an exempt position. The selected candidate will report to the Sr. Manager (IWS),Job DescriptionProvide field service to Aquatech’s customers (domestic and international)Startup and troubleshooting of water treatment plants and equipment supervision and providing maintenance advice to customersPrepare daily reports on activities at customer sitesMap additional business opportunities at customer sitesBe a technical adviser to our customersWork closely with all engineering disciplines to support customersProvide feedback to engineering teams on lessons learned for future improvementsCarry out modifications to PLC and HMI programs under guidance from the home officeSupervise site activities such as filter media and RO membrane loadingProvide training to customer staff on plant operation and maintenanceParticipate in in-house activities such as preparing engineering documents, schedules, and programming PLC and HMI equipmentAssist in developing proposalsMake visits to vendor sites for inspection and testingTravel up to 60% of the time may be necessaryOther duties as assignedSkill RequirementsExcellent computer skills (EXCEL, Word, etc)Ability to travel to customer sites for extended periods. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, limited walking and standing.Qualifications / ExperienceBachelor's / Associate’s degree in Chemical / Environmental engineering or Elect and Controls, Mechanical engineeringExperience with water treatment equipment such as filters, RO, clarifiers, Ion Exchange, and wastewater treatment is highly preferredBasic knowledge of pumps, valve,s and instrumentation and controls is preferredBasic knowledge of industrial safety is necessaryBasic knowledge of electrical and control systems is preferredExperience in programming of PLC and HMI is highly desirable1 - 7 years’ experience in a process industry or process engineering firm
