Medication Assistance Program Coordinator

Job SummaryThe Medication Assistance Program Coordinator (MAPC) functions as an integral member of the health care team to reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm and mutual respect. This position coordinates patient access to medications and devices necessary for their treatment, regardless of their ability to pay, for both inpatients and outpatients treated at Tampa General Hospital. The MAPC works with patients and prescribers to obtain free and discounted pharmaceuticals and grant awards for uninsured/indigent patients from pharmaceutical manufacturer patient assistance programs (PMAP), non-profit disease-based assistance and state and local agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.Bachelor degree and experience in healthcare setting or physician’s practice required.
